Hi, I’m Abi Daré, your Chief Louding Officer.

I believe in the power of fiction to transform, make us laugh, cry, reflect, and sometimes even choose a different path. I believe in stories that open hearts, shift minds, and leave a lasting mark. I hold a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Birkbeck University of London ( with distinction) and have written over a million words. I’ve faced more rejection than I can count. I was told my book would never make it onto a shelf or find an audience. But I kept writing until one yes changed everything.

Today, I’m a New York Times bestselling author. My debut novel has sold hundreds of thousands of copies and has been translated into 24 languages. I’ve judged the British Book Awards, The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Prize, The Women's Prize For Fiction Discovery Prize and other literary prizes. I have taught fiction and spoken at Harvard Business School, Manchester Metropolitan University, Curtis Brown Academy, Women's Prize for Fiction, Arvon,The Guardian Masterclasses and at several other reputable stages.
